Hello everyone. You awesome, legendary anime lovers and welcome to the first video. For campfire cooking in another world with my absurd skill. This is gonna be a animated review so far because the series has not finished just yet, or the seasons are not, has not finished this yet. Quick disclosure though, real quickly, if my voice sounds a little bit weird or my pronunciations are off, know that I've got braces.
So I'm gonna be talking a little bit funny. It's gonna, it feels a little weird, so bear with me with pronunciation. , and I apologize for if I pronounce anything wrong or anything like that, . So without further ado, I want to get into this review because I've really been enjoying this anime so far. The anime is, quite fun and entertaining.
It does have a little bit of its downsides, but they're not too bad. And I want to go over that because it is a review so far and there's not too much to say about it. There's only been a handful of episodes out currently. I think there are only episode four or five maybe. I need a, just a tad bit of catching up to do just cuz of the whole racist situation here.
But this anime is very interesting. If you were to think about laid back camp from the camping aspect and some of the food aspect, and cross it with a generic isekai anime, then hello, you have campfire cooking in another world. My absurd skill. There you go. Let's literally just join laid back camp and a generic isekai into one, and that's how you can capitalize on.
So a little bit of story background so far with this. The anime takes place in some sort of fairytale like fantasy realm and the main character, Tsuyoshi Mukoudo, or Mukouda, I apologize again, my pronunciations man. He basically gets isekaied guide into another real. and he quickly finds out that he's not gonna be of any help for the kingdom that he was summoned to, and he just goes off on his own.
However, he does have his, and I'm gonna say him, the title Absurd Skill where he essentially can summon a pseudo Amazon and buy things using the money he gains from the world to buy anything he needs right off the bat so he can go online. , he can literally pull up a little box and then he can just select what he wants is by searching for it, and then hit by and immediately it'll deliver instantaneously, directly to himself.
And then there you go. He has food. He has all the things he needs. Again, it does cost money, but the money he obtains from the various activities he does in the series so far is what contributes to contributes to him buying stuff. Essentially he goes into another world and he's got the skill and he just wants to cook and kind of camp out and explore.
And along the way, he meets his traveling companion slash his familiar Fenrir, a k a Fel. He's a, basically a legendary, great wolf. Looking creature it, he talks, he's super powerful and he just loves all the food that see Tsuyoshi can cook. And so they travel together. They have a pack together and they start traveling.
And essentially that's basically the entire plot line that we've gotten so far from it. So I find it very interesting that there's not too much going on. There is a little bit of a story. There's apparently a story with the kingdom that he got summoned to, that they're in. . They want to expand their kingdom.
They want to expand their reach a little bit, and it's a little bit they're a little bit more on the war hungry. But he foregoes that for a more easier style of life. He just wants to explore and cook food and kind of survive. That's all he cares about. So he will go around to different cities and he'll meet up with a couple of guilds to try to earn money and he earns an absurd amount of money just cuz he doesn't know anything better and he has an overpowered familiar to help him.
But that's pretty much all there is to it. As far as the story so far, like I said I'm not too far into it right now. I can imagine that there's gonna be more things as the story progressed, but it's just all about this nice gentleman just wanting to go out and cook and camp in a fantasy world.
And by golly, that's all I can ask for really. As far as the graphics go now, that's where it's like interesting. So it's not bad, but it's not like good. I'd say it's like mediocre. I wouldn't say it's anything to ride home about. If I look at the food from laid back. I'm gonna use laid back camp as my basis or, and then another anime food wars.
The food is very animated. It's animated very well, and you could tell just how delicious that food looks between the two anime, laid back camp and food wars. This one kind of, it's a little bit more lax as far as animation goes. I'm not saying it's bad by any means. I'm not saying that. What I am saying though is, the food is present there.
They tell you how to cook the food in the anime, in, in the anime. And, there's like this, always this moment of cooking, but it just doesn't look as a appetizing as the food from laid back camper food wars, but still not bad animation. It's again, a generic isekai. It's you. It's, it is just a tad rough around the address, but not terrible by any means.
It's still a doable, it's watchable. Again, it's, there's. an interesting amount of action with the animation, especially when it comes to the fighting scenes or in case, for all I intent purposes, the Fel scenes where Fel is the one or Fel slash Fenrir is the one. Hunting slash fighting.
That's where you can see a little bit more graphical enhancements. , especially when Fel, uses hiss magic powers. That's where you can see a lot of the animation styles going there. You really don't see the animation of that glistening knee and that like just the cooking. You, like I said, when you watch late bad camp, you can almost taste the food on the television.
or on your screen where this, it's just there, you, there was a fe that palatable feeling, but at the same time it's not as good as again, play back camp or food wars or anything of that nature, but it's still pretty good though. As far as the anime goes, I highly recommend giving it a try.
It's something that you can, absorb a little bit. It's not gonna be, don't take it too seriously. It's more of a, like a laid backish like type anime. , and there's nothing like anything crazy about it that I've seen so far now that could change in the later part of the series where there could be more storyline op projects that drop into that.
So I don't know what's gonna happen per se. All I could tell you is that it's pretty good. It's a good feel good anime. I love camping. I love cooking. I love isekai. Kay Animes for the most part. There are some I don't like, but not too bad on this one. Crunchy Roll has the entire series so far.
I don't know if it's dubbed on Crunchy roll. I know it's sub, I watch sub anime all the time. So you could definitely find it there. But as far as everything goes, I think it's gonna be a pretty decent watch. I don't think it's gonna go too hardcore. I don't think you should take it too seriously. I think you should take it as a nice lighthearted ask anime with a little bit of sprinkled action scenes to keep the user in their seat a little bit, to remind the audience that, hey, this is still an easy guy.
He's still in a different world. He does have magical abilities to an extent, and there's just a little bit more. Unfamiliarness to it, and the fact that he also has basically a pseudo wolf goddess is familiar. That I think is pretty, pretty funny actually. But other than that, give it a watch.
See what you guys think of it. I think it's not too bad. It's something that I enjoy on the side. The animation's. Okay. The storyline. Nothing to write home about really, to be honest with you. Again, it's, eh, but it's more of a relaxing feel. Now the storyline could change again, but other than that, you guys have a great day, and I will see you next time on a more fuller review of hopefully this se this anime or something else in our Discord channel.
You can go to our Discord, the Secret Anime Club, where I'll be putting in a voting for the next anime that I will be reviewing here short. She see that drop in any moment now and it should actually be pretty interesting that what anime you decide is gonna be good for me to review and just get back on the train of things.
And until then, I will see you all later.
